8 days-Kokoda to Ower’s Corner Itinerary – 2008

  Day1
  Morning (am) flight – APNG airlines to Kokoda. Few hours sight seeing / pictures at Kokoda   District Head Quarter. Start trek to   either Hor village or Deniki camp site. The two (2) camps   are 25 minutes apart/away from each other. Overnight.

  Day2
  Uphill morning (am) trek to Isurava village and proceed trekking to Isurava Battle Field. Take   photos, and then continue trekking on   to Alola village. Overnight at Alola.

  Day3
  AM trek down to Eora Creek then a midday uphill climb and deunt to Templeton’s Crossing No2   for a lunch break. After midday break   continue afternoon trek to Templetions No1 crossing.   Overnight.

  Day4
  A morning climb up to Kokoda Gap, further on to Mt Bellamy for a morning break then to   Naduri village for Lunch break. Afternoon   proceed to Efogi village. Overnight.

  Day5
  From Efogi village (a) uphill trek to Brigade Hill. Proceed further on to Mari village for midday   break than afternoon trek on to   Manari village for midday break than afternoon trek on to   Aguro near old Naoro village. Overnight.

  Day6
  In the morning trek on from Agurogo pass old and New Naoro villages and climb uphill to the   top of Maguli Range and take lunch   break. After lunch continue trek to Ofi creek. Overnight.

  Day7
  Morning trek to take you up to Ioribaiwa Ridge and further trek down to Ioribaiwa village and   to Uvaule creek for lunch. Trek on   afternoon to Imita Ridge and continue trek to Goldie River.   Overnight.

  Day8
  Uphill morning trek from Goldie to Ower’s Corners you get on a waiting vehicle to be picked up   and dropped off at hotel. Early day.   Opportunity to visit SP Brewery and visit around Port   Moresby.

  Day9
  Arrive POM via APNG are visit the SP Brewery have 2 hours free beer courtesy of SP Brewery/   Farewell.
