 9 days-Owers to Kokoda Itinerary – 2008

  Day1
  Start Trek with a drive up to Ower’s Corner. A deadly drop for Goldie river crossing and trek further up to Basil’s camp /Good water   for midday stop. Afternoon continue trek up to the top of Imita Ridge. Drop down and continue trek on with ten (10) times creek   crossings to Vaule Creek (middle camp) site and Overnight.

  Day2
  Morning trek starts with another ten (10) times creek crossing to Value Creek (camp 44), then start a steep climb for an hour to   Ioribaiwa village for lunch stop. Afternoon trek to the top of Ioribaiwa Ridge then decent drop to Ofi Creek for an early day end of   trek. Overnight.

  Day3
  Early morning challenge to beat Maguli Range from Ofi creek. At midday have lunch stop at the top of Maguli range. Afternoon trek   pass New Naoro village then further trek down hill pass 9 false peaks to old Naoro village at the swampy area and further trek to   Agurogo village at around 4-5 pm .Overnight at Agurogo village.

  Day4
  Morning trek continue with muddy swampy areas with one big river crossing ( Naoroa River) Brown River to the base of Brick Wall as   it is known to every one. Reach the top of Brick Wall for morning tea break then continue up to Manari village Look out and drop to   Manari village then further trek to Manari River for Lunch stop. Afternoon trek to top of Bridge Hill and trek further in the late noon   to Efogi village. Overnight.

  Day5
  Start trek pass Launumu Village (Efogi No2) and further on Naduri village and stop for lunch break. After lunch continue trek up the   Mt. Bellamy and camp at 1900 camp site. Overnight

  Day6
  Trek on to the top of Mt. Bellamy in the morning reaching Kokoda gap and have morning break. Continue trek to Templetions No2 for   lunch break. Afternoon trek uphill the cool Fabula Range and reach the top by 2:00 pm then trek down further to Eora Creek camp site   for overnight.

  Day7
  A cold morning trek starts with a River /Log crossing and cliff, roots and rocky trek to Alola village for (am) break. Continue trek to   Isurava memorial monument for a lunch stop over. Afternoon trek continues further pass Isurava village and further on the either   Dewiki or Hoi village depending on the availability of camping space for overnight.

  Day8
  An easy trek to the end of the expedition at Kokoda District Head Quarter. Half day look around and picture time. Plenty of time for   relax and FEW DRINKS with your Potters. Overnight.

  Day9
  Get on a chartered Airlines PNG flight, arrive at Port Moresby, return to the Hotel, day tour Port Moresby city and visit the SP   Brewery Limited (Brewery excursion) and have 2 hours free beer courtesy of SP Brewery at BREW KETTLE VIP Lounge.   Farewell.
